Winter Olympics: See the ladies who are representing the country (Photos)

Nigeria are hoping to enter a bobsled team at the Winter Olympic Games for the first time in 2018 in a move that echoes the film Cool Runnings. Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga, who are based in the United States, are looking to compete for Nigeria in the bobsledding event at the Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

But they might be hindered by a lack of funding. The trio need to raise funds for training, acquiring the high-tech gear required for the event and transportation.
In the film, the four athletes find various ways to raise money - arm wrestling, singing in the street and opening a kissing booth - before eventually selling a car to do so.

And, in a more conventional way of raising money, the Nigerian trio have set up a GoFundMe page looking to raise $150,000 (£118,000) to pay for their expenses ahead of the Games.

The trio representing Nigeria will hope for a better outcome at the Winter Olympics in 2018 than the Jamaican bobsled team in 1988.
