Hundreds of migrants from Africa have stormed a border fence to enter Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco, the authorities say. According to the AFP news agency, it is the biggest group in a decade to succeed in making it over into the fenced city bordering Morocco in search of asylum.
A Spanish interior ministry official said two police officers and three migrants suffered cuts and bruises in the early morning crossing, the Associate Press news agency reports.
Images showed migrants crossing the fence and celebrating after achieving their aim.
