President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting Niger Delta leaders and stakeholders at the State House. Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Governors, Ministers and security chiefs were also in attendance at the event which is taking place in the afternoon of November 1, 2016.
The details of the meeting are currently sketchy.
This is part of the peace process in the South-south part of Nigeria as the conflicts have vehemently sabotaged the Nigerian economy which is heavily dependent on oil.
Agitations in the past by Niger Delta militants have caused a massive dip in the daily crude oil production of Nigeria thereby aggravating the crisis of recession.
