Ugandan teenage girl wins scholarship with US Based Pilots Association


Catching them young is essential for early growth and rapid progress. 19 year old, Mercy Mulayi’s journey to becoming an army pilot looks hopeful after landing a scholarship with a prestigious US based Women Pilots’ Association. Mercy took to flying easily after joining flying school in Uganda two weeks ago. After flying the aircraft two times, her trainer could see that she is a natural pilot, born to fly.

The talented Ugandan pilot will get her Private Pilots’ License (PPL) in six months followed by another nine months of training to get the Commercial Pilots’ License (CPL) reports the Observer

“The idea of being a pilot in the army was so exciting,” said Mercy to the Observer, explaining her desire to be in Uganda People's Defence
