Ooni of Ife making veneration to the Goddess of Ocean (photos)


Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi pictured making veneration to Olokun, the goddess of ocean at the shrine located on Olokun street, Oke-Atan area of Ile-Ife during the annual Olokun traditional festival. He was accompanied by his wife, Yeyeluwa Wuraola Ogunwusi. According to the monarch, Olokun was among the angels who are today Yoruba across the world... she was assigned to function as the goddess of the sea and she lived both spiritually and physically as a very wealthy wife of Oduduwa who was the god of prayers.
