The opening ceremony of the Shoprite shopping center in Onitsha, Anambra State was a disappointment. The well publicized event has been marred by a very low turnout by shoppers as a only a few whitemen and some agents from the government were seen at the shopping center. The shops were almost empty as no single of life was visible in all stores or department. A friend jokingly asked, does it mean that Anambra folks don't do shoprite?
